    Hi all,

I am hoping you all could assist me. Our privacy team has been tasked to perform desk audits of authorizations signed by our patients for marketing purposes. Has anyone performed an audit of patient authorizations (of any kind) that I could use as a guideline or tool?

Thanks in advance for your help.

OK...so using the 5WH1 model...and the idea of doing an audit on marketing authorizations...look to provide basic and meaningful answers to the following:

    1. Who will be doing the audit for authorizations signed by our patients for marketing purposes?
    2. What will I use to determine a pass or fail regarding authorizations signed by our patients for marketing purposes?
    3. Where are documents located related to authorizations signed by our patients for marketing purposes?
    4. When will the audit related to authorizations signed by our patients for marketing purposes occur?
    5. Why is the audit of authorizations signed by our patients for marketing purposes being done?
    6. How will the sample and assessment process be determined for the audit of authorizations signed by our patients for marketing purposes?

These can give you excellent insight on some of the things or elements to look for as you design you audit.
