Consultant, Contractor & Temporary Worker Training

Does anyone have a suggestion for how to on-board consultants, contractors and temporary workers who have access to a company email account and networks to the Compliance Program?  We used to issue our regular employee Code of Conduct, but have received push back that they are not permanent employees and should have to sit through this level of training.  Any thoughts or examples are appreciated.

    Thank you,

I guess that depends on what exactly they will be exposed to or have access to. We have multiple different training and other presentations. But the one that takes the longest is our combined HIPAA Privacy and Security training. If they aren't going to be exposed to PHI then maybe they can get away with a smaller Security-only training course. The rest, for us anyway, including a code of conduct, aren't long enough to bother trying to shorten or exclude. I would think you would want to remind them of those things you won't tolerate like discrimination and harassment.
