It's best to get experience and then consider getting certified. Beyond the certifications generally requiring work experience, from a practical perspective, the certification process can be pricey and until you get experience you may not know which to pursue and just throw your time and money away. Also, if you're working in the field most employers will pay for your certification process and give you a bonus or consider obtaining certification part of a career ladder / advancement.

Subject: Beginner looking for help
I hope this is the correct place to ask... I am an RN looking to further my career and obtain certifications for auditing, compliance, and more. I have done research and from what I am finding out is that I need to work in a beginner role before I can even obtain a certificate for any of these. Can anyone guide me?
Thank you so much,
Christy
