Below is a press release we were excited to put out today. Thanks to everyone who has joined HCCA and SCCE. The Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics and the Health Care Compliance Association Announce Major Milestone Achieved -
10,000 Members
Minneapolis, MN---November 21, 2011---The Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA) and the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics (SCCE) are proud to announce that they now have a combined total of 10,000 members. The two organizations offer separate memberships but share a common staff, structure as a single 501c(6) non-profit and the same mission of furthering the compliance profession.
"Compliance professionals have many other professions, groups, and individuals trying to define our job and determine the function of a compliance program. As a new and exciting profession this is understandable, but not always in the best interest of the profession. With 10,000 members of a single association we are gaining the ability to speak for ourselves. This is a very important development," said SCCE and HCCA Chief Executive Officer Roy Snell.
Snell credits the foresight and determination of the HCCA Board of Directors, the SCCE Advisory Board, the staff, and the members for this achievement.
"It wasn't that long ago, that few had heard of the compliance and ethics profession; however today, our organization regularly received calls and e-mails from people across the globe seeking more information about the profession and what course of study to pursue," said Snell.
Members of HCCA and SCCE will receive a 10,000 Members Pin to mark the occasion.
