Hoping for the best to all as we take some time this weekend to specifically remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.  May they all rest in peace and may their sacrifice never be forgotten.

Memorial Day is a time to remember those who gave everything to their (and our) country.  We might not be here without their sacrifices.

    Memorial Day
originally honored military personnel who died in the Civil War (1861-1865). The holiday now honors those who died in any war while serving with the United States. It is also called Decoration Day.

Thank you...as even from a C&C...I will simply say I find it confusing when Memorial Day seems to morph into a quasi-Veteran's Day or "Thank The Troops Day" or when people broadcast far and wide..."Have a Happy Memorial Day!"

For me, and not saying anything negative or bad about those who observe it differently...Memorial Day has a very specific meaning and I try to hold it as such.

Hope everybody can take some time in remembrance of those who have served, and use the 3 day weekend to clear your mind a bit.  Have a safe weekend, all!
