Checking In

Southern Bell checking in from Georgia.

First full day working from home. I could get use to this commute time!

Seems more and more folks are working from home around here. We currently have just over 600 cases here, but again who knows...I could be sitting here with it and have no symptoms. We, my two sisters and I, have my sweet 88 year old Mama quarantined,  and hopefully protected going on week 3.

I think we will hear a "stay at home" order from our governor soon. Our beaches have been closed over the weekend.

In Atlanta, we have a 12 year old on a ventilator with covid-19. I understand she is stable, but not yet breathing on her on. She apparently had no other complicating conditions according to her family. This is the youngest victim in Georgia I believe.

Well time for some coffee...in my jammies...at least until noon...then it converts to lounge wear!!!

Take care and be kind to one another,
Southern Bell (AKA Vicky) signing off for now.

Boots (Lloyd) checking in from the TX Hill Country.  San Antonio has 58 cases and it's first death.  Numbers from areas around S.A are harder to come by, but add up to about 10 if I remember correctly.  Texas still has a real low number of cases compared to most other states, but that may be due to the small number of people tested.  Hope the small numbers continue.  Starting my first full week of working from home after 3 days last week. I think I could get used to this.  That's all for now.  Stay healthy everyone.  PS, if you missed Frank's sessions Saturday, you missed a lot of great information.

Florida is the latest state to pass 1000 cases.  There are 12 in my county.  Most beaches are closed except in my county.  Beach access to cars is still closed.  The state has ordered all restaurants to go to take out/to-go only operations.  I got out and about this weekend.  It was pretty busy Lowe's was packed, Walmart had a lot of bare shelves, and the golf course was packed.

Let's get week 2 of work from home started.

Keep calm and wash your hands.

Carl the Carrot checking in from Boise, Idaho. 85% of our workforce now working from home. Of course we don't have that many employees, still under 100.

We have 50 confirmed cases, with no deaths so far thank goodness.

I was finally able to get a small bottle of hand sanitizer this weekend. I had to get to the store early. It felt like the old days with Black Friday, before they moved the opening time into Thanksgiving day.

    Hope you all stay safe.

Just a "hint" ...if your looking for hand sanitizer, don't forget that Staples, Office Depot and similar stores carry office supplies...including hand sanitizer.

You may be able to find some there. We were able to do so just the other day.

    Great idea. Thanks Scot.

When at the store I ran into a nurse who told me how to make my own. So I got some Aloe Vera and Alcohol to do just that.

Gramma Ann checking in from Illinois!  Our state has issued a "shelter in place" order so I am working from home this week.  TBD for next week. Numbers in Illinois are quickly climbing.  I have two daughters that work in patient care and two son-in-laws that are law enforcement so I am a bundle of nerves!
    Stay safe everyone!

Checking in from AZ! As of 5 hours ago we had 234 cases (2 deaths) but I'm sure that's drastically increased by now considering just last Friday we were at 47 cases and yesterday morning there were 152. It more then quadrupled over the weekend. 139 are in my county as of right now. Some counties may stop testing because they are running out of resources and supplies. Many AZ cities have declared states of emergency and have shut down non-essentials (some areas feel like a ghost town out of a Steven King book). 99% of our workforce (which actually resides in Ohio) is now mandatory work from home as of this week. Just in time because as of midnight tonight Ohio is implementing a stay-at-home order. I'm sure it won't be long before AZ does, especially with cases increasing so fast.

Stay safe and healthy out there!
