I might be coming in a bit late to this conversation, but I was told the course is very detailed and is a great way to prepare, should budget permit. Class dates and times are listed on the web page.
This is what is posted on the SCCE Compliance website: http://www.corporatecompliance.org/academies
"The Basic Compliance and Ethics Academy is a three-and-a-half-day intensive program focusing on subject areas at the heart of the compliance practice. Courses are designed for participants who have a basic knowledge of compliance concepts and some professional experience in a compliance function. The Academy covers specific subject matter in depth and is a great preparation course for the CCEP exam. (The course provides you with sufficient credits required to sit for the exam.) "

Subject: CCEP Exam Preparation
I would like to take the CCEP exam and please need advice and recommendations pertaining to study material; how to best prepare for the exam. I understand there is not an official study guide. In your opinon, what is the best way to go about preparing for the exam? Is reading the "Compliance 101" and "Complete Compliance & Ethics Manual" necessary? Is reviewing the Federal Sentencing Guidelines and all the additional government agency reference materials (US Dept of Justice, Fair Labor Standards Act, etc...) necessary? Should I attend a "Basic Compliance and Ethics Academy?"
I welcome and appreciate all comments.
Thank you,
