HI Compliance Professionals,
I want to report that I passed the CCEP exam. The materials that Cait Tobey and Bill Wong (thanks Cait and Bill) provided were sufficient for me to pass the exam. I think one of the keys to passing the exam is to go through the materials Cait and Bill provided a couple of times and then look for other content on the web that is related to that to fill in any knowledge gaps you might have and further expand your knowledge on the subject (that's what I did).
I know that Cait has mentioned this a few times, but part of passing the exam has to do with mental stamina. Because I haven't ran into any full-blown CCEP examinations that I could practice on, I needed to get creative. In the last 4 weeks leading up to the exam, I took a practice LSAT (Law School Admissions Test) every Saturday just to get myself in test-taking mode. A timed LSAT is a challenging test (about 2 1/2 hours) and I figured it would help build up some stamina so that when I took the CCEP exam, I would feel more capable of getting through the exam in the time allotted. Plus, the LSAT helps you think critically, which was helpful on the CCEP examination. The LSAT strategy turned out to be a good strategy for me.
Good luck to you all. We will be in touch.
