It is tricky. Once you click enroll, a pop up will appear. When they offer a free trial, underneath in small print, you should see "Audit course." That will allow you to take the course for free, without any certificates.

Happy New Year everyone. I was researching Free CEU's for a friend and wanted to share this with everyone here as well.
Remember that some may not explicitly say they offer CEU's, like the Coursera Courses, which can take 40+ hours to complete. However, if you submit the course syllabus to HCCA/SCCE, they may accept it. It doesn't hurt to try.
