    A huge thank you to @Dianne Koval and @Meredith Stein and to our fellow participants for engaging in a really lively discussion about building trust between HR and Compliance. I have attached a wrap-up and summary below.

    Key points:
    • Start building early and non-threatening invitations between departments, ask for feedback, be transparent, and invite others to journey alongside you to find and achieve mutual goals; we are more than disciplinarians -- we are not scary!
    • Leverage credibility from a senior leader to invite and build relationships between departments
    • HR and Compliance are in-tune with the "human" element of the organization, information flow between them can inform organizational decisions and also inform communication flow to sr. leadership
    • Make compliance programs and communication speak into the personal realm of your employees, train and educate them about company policies but also tell them about data privacy safeguards that can prevent consequences in their daily lives
    • Onboard employees and introduce them to the compliance department in fun and non-threatening ways (swag and positive messaging)
    • Many great questions that were asked are going to help drive future conversations!!!
