Hello all,
I'm humbled to announce that I passed the CCEP exam I sat for during the academy in Las Vegas in August.
I will say that, although I passed, there is still some advantage in taking the computer exam instead of the in-person exam. Because of the time constraints and the fact that there are only 2 verbal time calls during the exam, I left 17 of the last 115 questions blank on the exam not knowing how much time I had left. Bubbling in answers takes up a lot of time that a quick click on a computer screen would have helped with. I'm relatively certain I could have answered all 115 questions during a computer exam.
It also might be helpful to note the way the exam is scored which I wasn't exactly clear about before or during the exam. Here's a quote from my exam results that finally adds some clarity and might help you adjust your strategy on the exam...
"The passing score is 75 scaled-score units or 75 correct answers.
You have passed the Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) Examination.
The total score is based on the 100 scored items on your examination. The examination you took included pretest items for future tests that were not included in your score.
Your certificate will be sent to you in approximately two to four weeks."
