We would like to start rolling out communications in our manager news or managers guide that is updated frequently. I am looking for ideas on topics that we could send out monthly or quarterly to managers.

I assume you mean what the managers should be aware of and share with their employees.

    Some I have used are:
    - Be on the lookout for Phishing emails
    - Reminder on ways to report concerns
    - Not sharing passwords
    - Reminder to double check paperwork with PHI before giving to a patient to be sure it belongs to that patient.
    - Being careful when faxing PHI
    - Watch hallway conversations with staff when talking about patients
    - Log off computer when leaving workstation
    - Looking at HIPAA authorization forms before sharing patient info when asked by family or friends.
