I'm a big believer of this as it invariably comes up in discussion of business ethics. An ethics program is critically effective for business primarily because it shifts attitudes towards the positive. By establishing an ethical foundation at work, the tiny change in employee attitude acts as a spark that ignites a cascade of decisions and actions that reflect an awareness of one's responsibilities. The result is the life of the business is altered forever! (Of course, maintaining an ethical attitude requires the harmonized attitude of top management and continual effort in the ethics program area.)
