1. Know that the world likes the Ethical Decision-Maker. You will gain respect at work and gain the trust of colleagues.

2. Being an Ethical Decision-Maker will give you confidence. You won’t need to second-guess yourself.

3. Remind yourself: in the long-run, it’s best to be an Ethical Decision-Maker. If you forgo seemingly immediate gain and do the right thing now, you won’t pay for it (or feel guilty, or get in trouble) later.

4. Ethical Decision-Making doesn’t just pertain to big decisions. Practice Ethical Decision-Making in the small stuff too. As habit becomes character, you’ll be ready for the big leagues. Mr./Ms. Ethical Decision-Maker.

5. Being an Ethical Decision-Maker may not be easy. So think over it. Talk over it. Then decide.

6. Remember the newspaper test? (If your decision appeared in tomorrow’s headlines, would you feel good about it?) In this day and age, the “test” is not far from reality.
