My hospital recently received a letter from the Dept of Justice requesting information and auditing of records for kyphoplasty procedures performed from 2000 - 2008. Has anyone else received this letter or gone through this process?
Also, it appears that some facilities self reported to the DOJ back in 2008. Did anyone do that? Also, where did you get your information to self report - blog, newsletter, etc. My CEO wants to know how I missed not self reporting in 2008 and what steps I am taking to prevent this with another issue.
