As with any organizational change, 'resistance to change' may be present during ethics program implementation. Listening to employee suggestions, and addressing the following questions will enable your organization to better handle resistance: 1. Does leadership understand the ethics program and the reasons for implementing it? 2. Is there a well-defined plan for how the ethics program will be implemented? 3. Is there a plan to get middle management involved early and often? 4. Are there clearly defined roles and responsibilities (for implementation and beyond)? 5. Is there a communication plan in place to let the entire organization know the details of the ethics program?
