My employer supports physician groups in their service of HMO members in California. One of our health plan contracts requires our staff members to undergo background checks consistent with federal and state law. Can anyone guide me as to what background checks would fulfill federal and state law for working with beneficiaries of federal healthcare programs in California? I would appreciate it.
